“ A few friends and I wanted to learn how to line dance and saw that Neon Boots had a free class on Thursdays so we went out to learn a couple of dances. When deciding to go, we didn't do much research and had no idea it was primarily for the LGBTQ community, but that wouldn't have stopped us anyways. While it's pretty empty at the start of the class... the dance floor is packed by the end of the class. I will note that we have been multiple times and our experience has varied based on the instructor and the dance difficulty. For our first class, we had two great instructors with medium level of difficulty dances and had an incredible time. The patrons visiting are so friendly and everyone helps each other out with the steps as needed which is also nice. Our second visit had a difficult dance and even the instructor seemed to be lost so we didn't really learn much and just ended up chatting most of the time but regardless - it's a fun place to visit. The drinks are reasonably priced and they also have karaoke! Definitely worth a visit! ”

“ Neon boots is a better option than other country venues for Houston dancers that want to practice west coast swing as they play a more balanced mix of country and west coast swing music. Plenty of space to dance on Sunday evenings. ”

“ Awesome inexpensive place to dance & karaoke! I came Thursday night when they have line dancing lessons and it's country themed (I think). It was actually pretty crowded and parking was a little challenging. I loved the energy! The lesson was at a good pace for me who is ok at dancing (If you aren't coordinated, the lesson may be too fast paced). After the lessons, they have open line dancing and the regulars know the dance to each song. As a newbie, it was intimidating to see how everyone seemed to know the moves to each song - I'd jump in sometimes and not figure out the steps until the very end of the song. FYI, the music can be loud - if you become a regular, I'd definitely recommend getting earplugs. They have a separate room for public karaoke - luckily, not many people were there when I went so we were able to get in plenty of songs! They have free popcorn, $1 jello shots (I think), complimentary water. I definitely want to come back for the free dancing + karaoke opportunities. The atmosphere is very inviting and chill! ”

“ Dust off those cowboy boots grab your hat and make it over to Neon Boots it's a big beautiful dance hall and saloon tomorrow night and every Tuesday night they have line dance lessons. Thursday they have country dance lessons Friday they have Latin dance lessons!! If you don't like to dance, then come karaoke if you don't like that either just come and drink they got plenty of booze. There's a beautiful back patio believe it or not. It's very pleasant in the evening there's a light breeze out there and one could actually call it cool!! And if you're lucky, the owner, Debbie Might even ask you to dance ! ”

“ We've been coming here on Friday nights each week, and let me tell you we fell in love with the place. The music is great, they have two rooms one is karaoke and one is for dancing. Friday nights is Latin night and also gay night. It's straight country nights the rest of the week; they even have line dancing lessons I believe in Thursday's. ”
